Here are some common symptoms they share:
- Emotional exhaustion and overwhelm
- Physical fatigue
- Brain fog and memory issues
- Poor sleep
- Anxiety or low mood
- Irritability
- Mood swings or sudden tears
- Loss of interest in sex

The Key Symptom That Sets Menopause Apart
While both burnout and menopause affect your energy, mood, and motivation, there’s one symptom that’s unique to menopause:
Hot flushes (or hot flashes), that is, sudden feelings of heat, sweating, and flushing, especially at night.
If you’re having hot flushes, it’s very likely hormonal, but that doesn’t mean you’re not also burned out.
